Agricultural and environmental research encompasses a very diverse collection of tasks: media prep, soil sterilization, sample processing, instrument sterilization, and more. It demands equipment that can serve very different roles throughout a single day: handling delicate growth media in the morning, blasting a dense waste load that afternoon, then processing glassware overnight.
Priorclave regularly works with agricultural agencies, organizations, and researchers around the world. These include universities and their extension programs, as well as testing labs and public agencies involved in food and drug administration as well as those involved in bioscience and technology. We are consistently able to match these organizations with an autoclave that can meet their broad and evolving demands – rugged and reliable, flexible control systems, consistence, repeatable performance. From our standard series of more than 60 models and an exceptional range of options and accessories we can build each autoclave to suit your specific application. Every Priorclave autoclave build is designed to minimises your costs and resource consumption while maximising utility and reliability.
Substantial Autoclave Savings
The recent installation of a Priorclave 450 litre autoclave within the ‘plant’ research laboratory of York University’s Biology Department is certainly good news. It has strengthened its green credentials, slashing significantly energy costs associated with running a sterilisation process for compost and vegetation with a massive 90% reduction in water usage. Coupled with other benefits this autoclave has given the department very economical sterilisation capability.
Owing to the nature of the research work undertaken, this area of the University is classified as a Containment Level 1, only those with authorisation can gain access to the laboratory. In order to maintain the highest level of decontamination risk-potential, after experimental procedures involving seed and GM investigation, all waste is carefully sterilised for safe disposal using steam autoclaves.
Since installing the Priorclave SH450 side by side analysis of running costs with a competitor autoclave has showed an overall saving of 56%, the major contribution to this massive saving is associated with cost of water supply and disposal, amounting to a reduction of 88% and 89% respectively.
The autoclave is called into action two to three times a day, five days a week and by heating water-on-demand it is estimated to save the University £7.58 per run. Based on this there is a potential energy cost-saving of nearly £6,000 pa.
Another Priorclave customer, ALS Environmental, —a Priorclave client—decided to reorganize their Winnipeg, Canada testing lab. This required moving their large Priorclave 320L front-loading autoclave. This bonus factor for the company was that this cylindrical chamber autoclave is wheel-mounted, relies on few moving parts, and is plumbed with flexible hoses. This simplified the task ahead, enabling lab staff to successfully completed the move themselves with a little phone support from Priorclave technicians.
A Distinguished Agriculture & Environmental Research Autoclave
What truly distinguishes Priorclave is customer satisfaction. Priorclave customers consistently report 93% to 100% satisfaction with their purchase over the course of years–with that rating improving the longer they’ve owned the unit. In our most recent customer satisfaction survey, most owners rated installation and first use “very satisfactory,” with more than a quarter calling it “delightful.” A large portion of autoclave issues can be resolved remotely–which is why Priorclave is pleased to offer free lifetime technical support and consultation and one of the best warranty programs in the industry. Priorclave also maintains a network of factory-certified authorized service agents (ASAs) around the world.
AUTOCLAVES FOR AGRICULTURE & ENVIRONMENT RESEARCH
There is one way to be sure that your autoclave will perform to your specification: Have it built to your specifications. Every Priorclave autoclave begins with a conversation. Our team will explore your sterilisation needs and local regional concerns. We will then help you determine the right model and right configuration for your tasks, facilities, and requirements. Once your lab autoclave is properly specified, that unit will be hand built, from start to finish, in our London factory and to the highest QA standards.
Every Priorclave autoclave comes standard with our advanced fully programmable control system, Biomaster® protected antimicrobial surface coatings, free lifetime technical support, and a low-energy/low-water easy-maintenance design optimised to minimise lifetime operating costs.
Our goal is to provide educators, researchers, and innovators around the world with the equipment they deserve:
